Hampton Inn Boston/Braintree

Room was a little dated, but cozy. The location of the hotel is good for it being near a mall, but it was still an odd drive down a long road with nothing around it except commercial businesses. The real winner for the 5 stars was because of the breakfast. They had fresh lemon water, milk, coffee, juice, waffles, at least 3 hot options such as bacon, eggs, and sausage, cereal, fruit, and yogurts, bread, muffins. Definitely one of the better breakfasts I've had in a while.

The hotel was in the perfect location for my quick trip to Boston. It was close to all the places I visited and close to the highway. I didn't interact with staff because I have the app and checked in through there. The room did seem outdated, but I really loved that it had a fridge and microwave. The continental breakfast was really good, a lot of items to choose from. I wish I had brought my swimsuit but after reading some reviews I didn't think the pool would be open, but of course it was. Another plus is check out being at noon. I would def stay here again.

Rooms were not as clean as all reviews I read . The breakfast was amazing for a hotel and it was very nice to be able to have it. The location was fine. We were exploring Boston and I think staying outside the area was a better option due to room prices. Again, it wasn't the cleanest, but wasn't the dirtiest. I don't care about any frills, buy cleanliness is important to me and this wasn't my pick. Staff was great and friendly.

I flew in early on Dec. 22...The staff checked me and my 2 young children into a room (rm 419) that had a faulty heating system and a bathroom that had mold all along the ceiling. I explained this to the front desk agent that was on duty in the morning on Dec. 23 and she expressed no empathy at all. She gave us room 331, and I asked her if the house person could help me and my children move our things to the new room (usually I travel with my husband but I didn't so I requested help) When the house person (young Hispanic guy with dreadlocs) finally showed up to our room, and I opened the door I greeted him "Good Morning" while my 4 year old held the hotel door open for him and he didn't even look up from his phone that he was texting from. He had a very bad attitude and it was obvious that he was annoyed that we requested his help. I asked him where was the bell cart so we could start loading our stuff and he said " we didn't have mad stuff" so therefore he didn't think we needed it. Eventually he headed back down to the lobby to get the bell cart but from there I had phoned the front desk and told the agent that she could tell the house person we didn't need his help anymore because his lack of guest service and terrible attitude was to disgusting to bear. The location was convenient, as our flight was for 5am Christmas day and we were not to far from the airport, but I will never give them my business again. They need to train their staff on proper customer service etiquette, implement better cleaning practices (I am sure that is not the only bathroom with mold) and make sure there heating systems are up to date before the winter season hits. I will be contacting corporate.

So, the location is fine... rooms are a little outdated but mostly clean... the worst part about this is we booked the hotel because it showed a pool and hot tub because we have kids and wanted them to have something to do... its closed... the hot tub has caution tape like it's been closed for a while. I wouldn't book again... its the whole reason we chose this hotel out of the other 10 we could have chosen all in the same area.
